Intent
Art at Yavneh Primary School is an integral part of our curriculum, which allows children to express themselves and think in creative ways through a progressive curriculum which includes painting, drawing and sculpture.
At YPS, children are encouraged to develop a love and appreciation of art and are encouraged to see it as an opportunity to build their creativity, confidence and resilience. They are immersed in exciting learning opportunities and open-ended learning which allows them to develop thinking skills and independence. Our curriculum improves students’ concentration, allows them to develop decision making and critical thinking. Children understand that Art is both stimulating and challenging and they show resilience to try new things while taking risks in their learning.
