“Music is soothing, it helps me to stay calm. There are so many different instruments to explore but listening and appreciating music is the best for me.” – Beth age 9
At Yavneh Primary School we use the Charanga curriculum which we have adapted according to the interests and needs of our children.
Music is successfully taught from Reception and pupils develop their skills through varied and exciting activities which include the key skills of listening and appraising; performing; improvisation and composition. The children also sing and perform in concerts and shows at various points in the year, often in conjunction with the Limudei Kodesh (Jewish Studies) department.
