Intent
Yavneh primary strives to provide children with opportunities to problem solve, be independent and resilient. Through D&T we provide children with the opportunity to make their own choices in learning and assess and reflect on these decisions in order to improve in the future. Learning is built on in each year group to allow for children to not only implement and embed skills they have previously learnt, but also acquire new skills and use them effectively to meet an outcome. Additionally, children explore through active learning – building products and learning vital skills such as cooking and using programming software. Children leave Kitta Vav with an understanding of why products are created and how design choices are made to meet the needs and wants of a user.
